THE NEED FOR SUPPORT

Only a few months remain in 2023 to help MOKAN reach its financial goal to support continued funding for students in MOKAN’s Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program and MOKAN’s Business Institute Program for minority contractors. MOKAN wants to ensure that these programs continue to prepare non-traditional construction workers to enter and succeed within Registered Apprenticeship union and non-union programs and provide industry-specific training for minority contractors.

Proceeds from the 49th Annual Awards Celebration will also assist MOKAN in furthering its efforts to provide opportunities for MBE and WBE contractors on construction projects in the St. Louis metropolitan area. MOKAN’s goal is to increase the number of qualified MBE and WBE contractors and workers as well as to increase the amount of public and private dollars spent with them.
