MOKAN has a variety of membership categories that provide opportunities for minority contractors and other public/private sector organizations to actively demonstrate their commitment to building and sustaining a strong minority contracting community. Choose the membership level that best suits your organization’s needs.

The Worker/Alumni/Student Category ($100/year) is for workers in the building and construction trade, as well as students and Alumni of MOKAN. Through this membership you will have access to information relating to job opportunities and projects. You will also be able to access the Membership Network where you can interact with other MOKAN Members.

The General Contractor Member ($100/year) category is for certified minority contractors who wish to support MOKAN’s mission and take advantage of the many resources available to grow your organization. You will have access to the MOKAN Plan Room for bidding and projects. You will be a part of the MOKAN Network, putting you in contact with students, workers, other contractors, and businesses in the construction and building trade.

Companies, agencies, and other organizations that share our philosophy of inclusion but are not members of the minority contracting community can obtain membership in the following categories:

The Corporate & Associate Membership category ($4000.00) is designed for those public and private entities that understand the importance of inclusion and diversity but need assistance developing a comprehensive strategy for inclusion. MOKAN can provide assistance in developing a sound supplier diversity plan and crafting policies and procedures that insure mutually beneficial outcomes for your organization and minority contractors.

MOKAN provides a number of opportunities for Associate members to network with and receive valuable insight from minority contractors, majority general contractors, minority subcontractors and suppliers. As associate members, you will benefit from interaction with key members of the minority contracting community. Members at this level also receive prime booth and exhibit space at our annual Diversity Symposium and Opportunity Fair, designed to connect project owners with the region’s best minority firms.

Project Members will have a team of experienced consultants at your service to provide support in areas that will help you keep projects on time and on track with regard to minority inclusion.

MOKAN can provide project monitoring, negotiation and mediation support, and we can assist you with identification of solid, reliable minority contractors for your project needs. MOKAN regularly inspects the work of minority contractors it recommends, so you can rest assured the job will be done right the first time.
